“Sunday is an encourager who loves people. She brightens the room everywhere she goes, and I’ve never met anyone who finds so much joy in elevating others around her! Sunday’s messages are a refreshing shock of truth to the senses, and her real-talk style of public speaking is both entertaining and engaging. When it comes to facing the tough stuff of life she’s never backed down – it’s what I admire about her the most – so when she speaks about overcoming hard things, I know her words come from a place where she’s been herself, personally.” – Kylee Leonetti, Kylee and Christian Creative
Sunday was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was raised in a Christian, yet somewhat chaotic home, with 4 siblings. She married her husband Jeff in 1992 and they have 4 children; Carter (married in 2016), Brock, Tucker and daughter Kennedy.
Sunday has over 25 years experience working with students from pre-school to college age, women and volunteer teams. As a former youth and young adult pastor, she has spent years with students, teaching, leading and providing advice. Her passion for people positioned her to provide leadership training for all ages while building large volunteer teams with her husband, Jeff. During the 25 years in her former career, she also spent 12 years working with a large women’s group where she taught on a regular basis and also mentored a group of young mothers on a weekly basis.
In April 2012, her life changed forever when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. During the yearlong treatment process, Sunday clung tightly to her family, friends, and faith for emotional support. She remained strong through it all to finally achieve the title, Breast Cancer Survivor! This gave her the boldness and courage to follow her lifelong dream to pursue another title, Sole Survivor. She competed in the 33rd season of the #1 ranked reality television series Survivor: Millennials vs Gen-X. Sunday will quickly tell you that she brought the lingering emotional effects of cancer with her to the Island of FIJI and through the experience on the reality TV show, she was able to leave them behind. After Survivor, Sunday, along with her husband Jeff, made the decision that she would leave her position as a Young Adult pastor and pursue her passion for traveling and speaking. Sunday draws on her personal experience while sharing a message of hope. She now devotes her time to sharing her inspirational message of how she became ‘Survivor Strong’.
It is vitally important to Sunday to KNOW HER AUDIENCE. While faith plays an important role in her personal life, she feels it is just as important to share principals on how to face life’s challenges with a positive outlook. Using her inspirational story, she can present a non-faith based message of hope that will inspire the audience. If you are looking for someone to inspire your group or audience, she is your gal. She is also willing to craft her message to fit your theme or desired goal for your particular event.
