“I think that most women, myself included, aren’t interested in hearing about one more thing we should be doing! Most of us are already a little stressed out, feeling guilty, and overwhelmed by all the hats we try to wear at work, at home, and in all the different relationships we have in our lives. So when someone like Sunday Burquest speaks to women about her real-life experiences… and she tells her story with such candor, transparency, and a dose of humor, it fills them with just the kind of encouragement they so often need! She’s spoken for me at a number of women’s events and groups. And we’ve all left having shared both some tears and laughs, and more ready to head back out into our lives, feeling a little braver!” Renee Burt Small Group Pastor Living Word Christian Center Brooklyn Park, MN
Sunday served in ministry for over 20 years, speaking to a variety of groups and ages. Her years of teaching, speaking, and leading, combined with personal setbacks, makes her relatable to everyone. Not only did she survive breast cancer but also the near death of her husband, as well as several deaths in the family. Time and life experiences have given her a voice that resonates with both women and men who consider themselves survivors, whether it be from cancer, divorce, abuse, or simply a life overrun with stress. Her passion lies in inspiring and encouraging diverse women, including, wives, moms, working moms, singles mothers and young ladies not give up regardless of the battles that come their way.
In April 2012, her life changed forever when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. During the yearlong treatment process, Sunday clung tightly to her family, friends, and faith for emotional support. She remained strong through it all to finally achieve the title, Breast Cancer Survivor! This gave her the boldness and courage to follow her lifelong dream to pursue another title, Sole Survivor. She competed in the 33rd season of the #1 ranked reality television series Survivor: Millennials vs Gen-X. Sunday will quickly tell you that she brought the lingering emotional effects of cancer with her to the Island of FIJI and through the experience on the reality TV show, she was able to leave them behind. After Survivor, Sunday, along with her husband Jeff, made the decision that she would leave her position as a Young Adult pastor and pursue her passion for traveling and speaking. Sunday draws on her personal experience while sharing a message of hope. She now devotes her time to sharing her inspirational message of how she became ‘Survivor Strong’.
In over 20 years of ministry and speaking experience, Sunday has spoken to a wide range of audiences, in various settings.
She is an excellent choice for:

If you are looking for someone to inspire your group or audience, she is your gal. She is also willing to craft her message to fit your theme or desired goal for your particular event.
